Yesterday, I’ve been invited by KL Convention Centre to attend their food testing which were special previews of the Centre's upcoming Ramadhan Buka Puasa Buffet Spread.

Basically The KL Convention Centre is the premier convention and exhibition centre located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Conceptualised to host global events with international standard including conferences, exhibitions, seminars, meeting and entertainment and now their embarking into Ramadhan Buka Puasa Buffet Spread for corporate and public.

The food testing session started around 12 pm till 2.00 pm. Upon our arrival the guest mostly from Medias already started their duties by taking photos of the food spreads (which presented in exquisite way) and interviewed the chef in charge. Then we’ve been introduced by the GM of KL Convention Centre the mastermind for this year Ramadhan Buka Puasa Spread, Chef Mohd Shahril Abu Rahim (which appearance looks much younger than his age).

One of their specialties is grilled Venison with condiments such as brown sauce, pickles and even curry and dhal which you could partner it with nasi beriyani. The meat was really tender which I ate two times in a row! Other menus were chicken kebab, sashimi (which I enjoyed their fresh salads), hainese chicken rice, ABC, tandoori chicken, assam laksa, nasi berayani and nasi putih with assorted “lauks”, assorted “kerabus” (with belacan, cencaluk and budu of course), selections of dates, tapai, serawa durian, bubur lambuk, sup tulang rawan and assorted cute desserts & fruits which we could partner it with teh tarik and air bandung.
I’ve been informed by the Manager that today’s menu were only 30% of the available menus from the actual Buffet Spread and they even convert one of their hall to musolla for tarawikh (with imam of course). So we could really enjoy the food till 11.30pm after the tarawikh prayer!

Starter...after that tak sempat nak ambik gambar dah .. Actually, the most critical issues will be how much that it cost for us. For your kind information, the price will be around RM78++ per pax which I don’t really mind because I ate it for free! muehehehhehhe (jgn jeles). |
